37 and Full....in belly and term!

If baby Smetana chooses to be born right now, it would survive, considering s/he is now full term. Baby isn't quite done growing, but the rate of weight gain has slowed. Baby visits are now weekly with the doc and traveling is still to a local level. Last week's check up was a good check in and the doc was happy we made the FL trip with little to no problems. Baby's heartbeat is strong and healthy and perfect as the doc said.

+++ baby's brain has prepared to manage breathing, digesting, keeping the heart rate, and eating

+++ baby weighs about 6 lbs, 13 ounces and is about 14 inches long

+++ the umbilical cord is about 2 feet long now, how cool is that?!

QUESTIONS

none other then last week's about the delivery questions and the labor positions too.

PARTING WORDS

Ok, so nothing too much. Daddy and I have completed probably our last trip, or rather my last trip to Eau Claire until baby arrives. I just don't want to be in Eau Claire and have a baby emergency. We finished our baby shopping for little things like diapers, wipes, and some clothes for baby here and there from garage sales mostly to get us started. We of course always need diapers, wipes etc., but for now we have a good start. If anyone has anything they just don't need/want anymore baby related please don't hesitate to call me. I will gladly use it and even return it if you want it/them back. Oh yeah we also have a car seat/stroller combo so no fear there, baby can come home with us. Otherwise all is quiet on the home front of the "White House." Hope to write next week if baby waits......we shall see!
